About Dr. Johanna

Hello, I am so glad that you would like to learn more about me! I am Dr. Johanna Andrews Adlam, the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Premexcellence®. I have a Ph.D. in Public Health with a concentration in Social and Behavioral Health from the School of Public Health at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV). I also completed my postdoctoral training in the Center for Health Disparities Research at UNLV. Additionally, I obtained a Master of Public Health degree as well as a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Hofstra University in New York. I also hold academic certifications in the areas of Research, Mentorship, and Communication from the Graduate College at UNLV. 

About four years ago, I embarked on an exciting new journey to become a Certified Coach! I am a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach (CPCC) through the Co-Active Training Institute. I am also an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) through the International Coaching Federation. As a Career and Life Coach, I help people gain the clarity and confidence they need to design their own unique path to a meaningful and fulfilling career or life. As a result of my journey, coupled with my skills and training as a Certified Coach, I developed transformative coaching programs to support other accomplished professionals on their journeys to achieving their vision of excellence in their careers and lives.

I am also passionate about working with students at every level of their college careers. I have mentored, advised, and coached students through their research projects and coursework for more than a decade. I have also taught Public Health and Health Disparities courses at Hofstra University and UNLV, where I have developed enduring relationships with students. My desire to connect with students beyond their research or studies and understand their multiple roles and identities outside of school has helped them succeed and explore abundant possibilities. The unique needs of students are essential to me, and I work diligently to provide tailored and comprehensive services to build their skills, increase their academic performance, and promote wellness in their lives. In addition to academic support, I also offer emotional and motivational support as a Certified Coach. My holistic and compassionate approach to academic consulting distinguishes my premier and customizable services at Premexcellence® Academy.
